In 1982 there were twenty-two California Condors left alive. Every one was in captivity by 1987, leaving the wild population at zero. Today there are more than 500, over half of them flying free across California, Arizona, Utah, and Baja — one of the most improbable recoveries in conservation history.
The largest land bird in North America, riding a ten-foot wingspan 150 miles in a day. Lead poisoning from spent ammunition remains the leading cause of death in wild adults.
Printed on the Stanley/Stella tote: 300 GSM canvas in 100% recycled cotton, GRS certified. Double-folded top edge for strength, long self-fabric handles with reinforced cross-stitching, and a shaping seam at the base that gives it real volume. Sized for groceries, books, or a day's worth of everything. OEKO-TEX Recycled, PETA-Vegan and Fair Wear certified.
Made to order, and made to outlast a hundred plastic bags.
10% of every sale goes to the Condor Recovery Program and the Ventana Wildlife Society.
One size. Machine wash cold, lay flat to dry.
