In 1982 there were twenty-two California Condors left on earth. Every single one was captured by 1987 — the entire species lived in captivity, and the wild population was zero. There are now more than 500, over half of them flying free over California, Arizona, Utah, and Baja.
They are the largest land bird in North America, with a wingspan approaching ten feet, and they can travel 150 miles in a day barely beating a wing. Lead poisoning from spent ammunition is still the leading cause of death among wild adults.
Printed on the Stanley/Stella Creator 2.0 Long Sleeve: 180 GSM midweight single jersey, 100% certified organic combed ring-spun cotton, elastane-free. Side-seamed, with 1×1 rib at the collar and sleeve cuffs, self-fabric neck tape, twin-needle topstitching at the cuffs and hem, and a tear-away label. The tee's cold-weather counterpart, same cloth and same fit. GOTS, OEKO-TEX, PETA-Vegan and Fair Wear certified.
Made to order — nothing is printed until you buy it, so there's no deadstock and no end-of-season landfill.
10% of every sale goes to the Condor Recovery Program and the Ventana Wildlife Society.
Unisex medium fit. Sizes XS–3XL. Machine wash cold, tumble dry low.
