The California Condor was down to twenty-two birds in 1982. By 1987 every survivor had been taken into captivity — for a few years the species existed nowhere in the wild at all. There are now more than 500, and over half of them are flying free again over California, Arizona, Utah, and Baja.
A condor rides thermals on a wingspan approaching ten feet and can cover 150 miles in a day without much more than a tilt of the wings. Lead poisoning from spent ammunition remains the leading killer of wild adults.
Printed on the Stanley/Stella Cruiser 2.0: 350 GSM brushed 3-end fleece, 80% certified organic combed ring-spun cotton with 20% recycled polyester, cotton face. Double self-fabric-lined hood, kangaroo pocket, round drawcords with closed-end metal tipping and metal eyelets, 1×1 ribbed cuffs and hem, twin-needle topstitching, tear-away label. GOTS 80, OEKO-TEX, PETA-Vegan and Fair Wear certified.
Made to order — nothing is printed until you buy it, so there's no deadstock and no end-of-season landfill.
10% of every sale goes to the Condor Recovery Program and the Ventana Wildlife Society.
Unisex medium fit. Sizes XS–3XL. Machine wash cold, tumble dry low.
